Coaching Staff

Philosophy

Haverford Soccer School is committed to excellence in Athletics. Each young player is taught to perform successfully at the highest possible level in accordance with the very best modern training methods. Our main objective is to provide all participants with the knowledge and skill needed to fulfill their athletic potential in a healthy, fun environment.

Haverford Soccer School has assembled an excellent staff which will challenge each participant to become a lover of the game! All of our staff coaches are professional educators and coaches whose qualifications and successes are among the best in the nation.

We are determined to make each young player’s experience an enjoyable one!

Director

Joe Amorim is Haverford College's soccer coach. The holder of a United States Soccer Federation "A" License, he directs a successful program with regional and national aspirations.

In addition to his position at Haverford, Joe is the former Head Coach for the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association as well as the Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association. He has also served as senior coach for some clubs in the top United Soccer League of Pennsylvania, winning championships with the Philadelphia Portuguese S.C. and the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals. He has also served the Keystone Games as a coach and regional coordinator. In 1989, he was selected as the Southeastern Pennsylvania College Coach of the Year.
